Sample Script:

Hi, can I please speak with the owner/manager?

Hi, ____________, my name is ____________, and I’m from Locations, Etc.

We’re printing & distributing a Community Newsletter to 58,000 homeowners and residents in this area.

And because the newsletter only has a few featured companies, your business is going to be seen and be used, and not buried inside a newspaper between hundreds of other ads.

We limit the number of vendors in each newsletter to give your business the maximum impact and the maximum return on your investment.

Another great thing is that when you get into the newsletter, Locations, Etc. puts you onto their website for free. So you can get additional exposure there.

The cost of featuring you and your business in an Editorial article is only $695 for 58,000 views. (that’s less than 1¢ per view.) If they say it’s too expensive, give them this option. You can always put in a business card listing for only $550, is that better?

And when you go in to 4 editions, you’re going to save 25%. And, remember ___ extra job(s) could pay for itself. And our goal is to get you many more than that.

(If the customer is buying something that costs a lot of money, then say only 1 job will pay for itself. If the price the customer is paying is small, then don’t say this at all.)

It’s an unbelieveably great way to get your name out there to new customers & make money at same time.

Questions to Ask If They Are Interested

Can I put you down for an editorial write-up on your business?
(if yes) Would you like to have a full color photo with that? It’s only $120 additional?

(if no) Would you rather get a business card listing?
You can put in one or two coupons, whatever you want. That’s only $385 total.

You can get 1,000 reprints of the newsletter to give away yourself for only $115. Would you like to do that?

If They Want an Editorial

What do you want to feature in the article? You, your store, your product or a special?

Do you have a brochure we can use to get additional information from?

Do you have a website?

(If not, ask) Would you like to speak with Locations, Etc. about helping you with a new brochure or website? Okay, I’ll have someone contact you about that as well.

Can I have one of your business cards?

You can make a check out to Locations, Etc. Inc. for 50% of the total, but if you pre-pay now, we’ll give you an additional 10% discount. Would you like to do that?

(If not paying in full) You know what I’ll do? When you sign up today, I’ll still give you the voucher for the Free Hotel vacation, normally this is for companies that sign up for 4 listings.

If They Want to Know Who Else Is Listing

We’ve signed up Wells Fargo for mortgages, and Charles Ruttenberg Realty. A company that does home renovation called Kiing Services, and a local Talent & Modeling Management company, among others

How to Create an Invoice Number

1. Your initials (example: LB)
2. The Month, the Day (example: LB0805)
3. A “-” and then the customer # (example: LB0805-016)
